Shopify's Summer '23 Editions: What I Love

Let’s talk all about the new features coming up in Shopify.

  ago and there is some cool freaking

  stuff coming out

  um coming up in the next few weeks and

  months so I wanted to walk you through

  their additions uh and the things that

  I'm most excited about because there's a

  lot in here

  so the first one you'll see that they've

  Sidekick AI

  highlighting and this is probably their

  0:35

  big big push is sidekick and Sidekick is

  0:38

  AI

  0:40

  um it's going to allow you to do things

  primarily to allow for

  um a chat Vault on your website really

  0:48

  easily that's really accurate you can

  0:50

  feed it the information but it's also is

  0:52

  smart enough to be able to read the

  information on your website and so to

  answer questions for your clients

  automatically so that's really really

  cool

  um

  but so there's lots of really think cool

  mobile things that are happening and

  stuff like that but my favorite thing is

  this one being able to you're going to

  Customization Within A Section

  have so much more customization

  within a section

  um for a long time sections we're really

  really static there wasn't

  um the ability to have really a lot of

  variety in sections and how you

  manipulated them you weren't really

  um able to change things within sections

  but now we've got sections and blocks

  and all of those have made a big big

  difference in Shopify 2.0 but now we're

  1:36

  getting a full-on

  what they say call wizzy wave which is

  what you see as what you get editor that

  is fluid enough to be moved around

  um and you don't have to code for it as

  1:48

  much so it's going to be so so good

  really looking forward to that

  um Shopify subscriptions that's another

  Shopify Subscriptions

  one of these things and I'm really

  looking forward to people who sell

  subscription products and services it's

  going to be really really helpful well

  pretty much products about delivering

  all those things and because as you know

  getting people on a subscription is

  really important because

  it allows for recurring income and which

  is probably one of the biggest keys to

  so many small businesses

  um this is the other thing I'm really

  really looking forward to these two

  Business to Business Features

  things business to business features so

  being able to take a look at all of your

  um listings if you sell to other big box

  2:30

  retailers or online you're going to be

  able to manage that all in Shopify which

  is going to be really cool with Shopify

  Market Marketplace connect but also what

  I love is business to business if you as

  2:41

  a Shopify store

  2:43

  are in your cell your products and

  2:46

  another Shopify store

  2:49

  then people can buy your products and

  2:52

  their products from their store and

  2:54

  Shopify is going to manage all of it so

  you're not going to have to manage

  um your inventory differently or

  anything Shopify will know okay then

  this bib was bought through that store

  let's take it off or at this scrunchie

  came from that other store so it allows

  you to expand your reach and your sales

  by partnering with like-minded

  businesses with like not the same

  products but similar products that yours

  might be complimentary for and so this

  is gonna be really really freaking cool

  like I'm buzzing about this one

  particularly

  so it's going to be so so easy

  and you're going to be able to add price

  breaks in different for

  for this so this is also oh sorry this

  able to if you're doing wholesale if you

  have a wholesale shop and doing volume

  which is really really cool

  um and this was the Shopify Marketplace

  connect that we talked about so I'm

  creating bundles which is going to be

  really exciting

  um and those are some of my most ex

  those are sort of the ones I'm the most

  excited about

  um I love that they're allowing for

  online editing with AI that they're

  Online Editing

  creating AI design for Commerce so this

  is going to be for helping you with

  things like product descriptions

  um your AI powered assistant like

  there's so much coming in their AI World

  um and then yeah there's just there's so

  much information on here I don't want to

  give you overwhelmed

  um but look at this custom fonts for

  Customs Fonts for Checkouts

  checkouts coming like hell yeah

  and I think number one I'm so excited

  about is the online store editor and the

  Online Store Editor

  just having this flexibility and design

  that we haven't always had in Shopify

  oh yes and this International thing

  Internation Audiences

  some of these things I love because I

  work with Squarespace and I work with

  Shopify I love seeing them start to

  almost catch up to each other in

  different areas

  very very cool color schemes look at

  it's just so much of this like where

  Shopify I feel like it's catching up is

  in this customization

  um and Squarespace is trying to catch up

  in Commerce so it's a lot of fun to

  watch these two platforms become ever

  more beautiful and Powerful

  so that is that there's a lot of really

  cool stuff coming down with uh

  storefronts and POS and creating apps if

  you're you know an app developer

  um but really that's the bulk of it for

  um I think there's some really cool

  stuff coming down the line and I really
