0:01 Hi, welcome back to the Calibrated Concepts YouTube channel. My name is Ellie. I am kind of your host here, and I talk about all things Squarespace, Shopify, and simple business tech and systems.
0:14 So I am all about creating simplicity in your business through the right tools, software, and processes. So, today is just a little short one.
0:23 I want to tell you about a relatively new feature with Squarespace. We used to have to do this with code.
0:28 Squarespace has been really on it lately with removing the need for so much custom CSS. So, we're going to be talking about how to remove the header and footer on specific pages in Squarespace.
0:40 So, with Squarespace it used to be that you'd have to add a little bit of code to the pages to make HTML and now you can do it with just a couple clicks and so I wouldn't do this on all of your pages but sometimes it's really important if you're having a specific sales page and you don't want any external
0:58 links and you really want to drive your call to action to one specific place throughout that sales page, this is for you.
1:07 So let's, let's go. move myself up over here for you. So I want to show you in my little sandbox page, which is where I show you a lot of these tutorials.
1:16 I have on my website, I have my header here, and I can edit this, and this will affect the entire site.
1:22 And I also have my footer down here, which I can edit. Which again, it affects my entire site, so this embed is for my e-mail newsletter, and that's embedded through my provider.
1:33 so, if I don't want, say this is a big, lengthy, gorgeous sales page, and I don't want those to show up, all I have to do is go to the settings of that page, and I'm go to navigation, and I can choose to disable the header, the footer, or both on that page.
1:52 Super duper easy. Once I hit save, will see there is none of these. Now, there's still some things that are coming up.
1:59 I have, my pop, my announcement banner that has my quiz that's coming up, which is an external link, but otherwise there's no navigation at the top or bottom here to distract from the message of this page.
2:10 I hope you found this helpful. If you have, go ahead and like, subscribe, tell me what other Squarespace, Shopify features you're looking to hear about, and I'll or just if you need more general website tips as well.
2:22 Alright.
